Fire

From a series of photos of I took with my Treo
of some brush I was burning to make way for
my new workshop. I can hardly contain my excitement
about the prospect of a new shop.
I was also mesmerized by this fire as the snow came
down last night and the burning embers rose into the sky.

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
