Dotting Roulette

Here’s a dotting roulette made from a cross section of a branch, then I drilled holes to automate a line of dots for my inlay process. i’ve modified my @mkmpotterytools roller handle to keep my roller in the center. Enjoy!

In the 1800’s and 1900’s this technique was made popular with Mochaware makers. Paint with a Mop: Slippery When Wet

Plate Trimming

For some potters, trimming is not much fun, but for me, I love it. A foot on a plate is not only an elegant support for the main face of the plate, but also serves as a handle of sorts, a place to grip when moving the plate from cupboard to table. These are the things I think about when I’m trimming.
